Book Acquisition and Technical Processing Section
The Book Acquisition and Technical Processing Section workflow is as follows:
Receiving book acquisition recommendations
Evaluating and updating collection
Finalizing the list of books recommended and placing order
Receiving the books, checking and processing, and maintaining accession register
Creating computerized catalogue records
Clearing the invoice for payment, follow up on pending books

Journals Section and Online Resource Access
Receiving journal subscription requests
Preparing the annual subscription list and sending the same to the authorities concerned for further action
Access activation related communications with publishers and vendors
Enabling off-campus access, creating user accounts, assisting in online access to journals and attending to user complaints on access-related issues
Sending regular reminders to publishers/vendors of subscribed print journals, maintaining records for perpetual access to journals active as well as discontinued
Binding of the back issues of subscribed print journals
Users may call 7566 to know about the journals, arrival of latest journal issues and activation of online access.
Circulation Section
Creating and closing library membership
Circulation of books and renewal of loan period
Generating reminders for overdue books and follow-up
Receiving feedback about books and other resources, and forwarding the feedback for necessary action
Users may call 7566 for extending the loan period and other circulation service-related issues.
Services & Research Support Section
Conducting orientation, education, and training for groups and individuals
Self-search trainings and mediated search
Attending to reference queries
Processing the requests from the users for articles and arranging the articles not available in the Library through external sources
Attending to service deficiency complaints, creating profiles and academic IDs, holding consultations with al user groups

Information Technology Section
Planning and managing IT infrastructure
Attending to complaints related to computers, software, Wi-Fi, and network-related issues
Enabling biometric system-based entry, keep track of biometric attendance
Maintaining overall IT infrastructure
Handling printing, photocopiers, document scanners
Framing rules for computer and IT-related activities
