All types of Primary Arthritis – like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Gout, Crystal Arthritis etc.

SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), Sjogren’s Syndrome, Inflammatory Myositis - Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Immune Mediated Necrotising Myopathy, Post Viral Myositis; Vasculitis - Large Vessel Vasculitis (Takayasu Arteritis, Giant Cell Arteritis), Medium Vessel Vasculitis (Polyarthritis Nodosa), Small Vessel Vasculitis (ANCA vasculitis, IgA Vasculitis), Soft Tissue Rheumatism (Fibromyalgia).

  • General ward admissions:
    Acute Flares of all Rheumatic diseases mentioned, Evaluation of complex presentations of rheumatic diseases, Day care infusions of Biologics (Rituximab, Infliximab, Tocilizumab), Immunosuppressives (Cyclophosphamide).
  • Special Services:
    • Intra-articular injections.
    • Minor Salivary Gland Biopsy (Labial).
  • Intensive Care:
    Rapidly progressive glomerular nephritis (RPGN), Acute cytopenias, Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS), DAH (Diffuse Alveolar haemorrhage), Severe infections associated with treatment of rheumatic diseases.
  • High Dependency:
    Acute presentations and complications associated with diseases and medications.
Awareness counselling, distribution of Education materials regarding rheumatic diseases on world arthritis day and world lupus day, Patient awareness cum education talks -SDM Doctor – AIR Akashvani Dharwad, FM radio and print media.
