Disease Profile Treated: 

Department of Haematology is involved with diagnosis and management of patients with blood related disorders. It also includes management of patients with blood cancers. Department is also involved in teaching and training of doctors, specialist nurses and laboratory technicians. In collaboration with SDM Biomedical Research Center, the department is involved in various research activities.

Department of Hematology is the first Hematology department in North Karnataka catering to patients with malignant and non-malignant hematological problems. It is one of the few departments in India having 3 full-time hematologists available throughout the year.
