Welcome to SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital Central Library. Established in July 2004 and housed on the ground floor of the college building with an area of 1602 sq. mtrs, the library is located in the center of the campus and easily accessible to the academic departments, classrooms, hospital, and student hostels. The Library is well designed by expert architects and known for its functionality, ambience and aesthetics.

Central Library plays a vital role in the academic and health care related activities of the institution. Over the years, excellent patronage of both the institutional administration and the users has helped the Library to develop a comprehensive and high quality collection of information resources in medical sciences and related branches in conventional as well as technology based formats. With the state of the art infrastructure and well trained staff, the Central Library has established services which focus on user needs.

The Library has automated its functions to increase efficiency in routine activities and enable easy search of the bibliographic details of the holdings. It conducts regular hands-on training which helps the users to run searches on their own to find authentic and accurate information from the Web.
