The Department of Anatomy, SDM Medical College celebrated World Anatomy Day on 12th October, 2023. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor was the Chief Guest. Dr. Rajeshwari Yeligar, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Anatomy, KIMS, Hubli was the Guest of Honor and delivered the key note address. 
Dr. S K Joshi, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), told in his remarks that:
•    There is a dynamic relationship between Anatomy and Radiology
•    Medical Students should concentrate both Conventional and Sectional Anatomy
•    Deep Study of Anatomy resolves all Clinical Problems 
•    Anatomy is the base for overall Medical Education and Clinical Diagnostic 
•    Students must take keen interest in Anatomy study including the new Anatomize

Dr. Niranjan Kumar and Dr. Rathnamala M Desai distributed the prizes for the winners of Anatomy Model and Poster Presentation Competition. All University Officials, Heads of the Institutions, Faculty and Students were present during the occasion.
