The Dept. of Surgery, SDM Medical College has conducted Two-day Surgical Workshop in association with ASI Hubli-Dharwad City Branch, Dept. of General Surgery, KIMS Hubli and Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) on Laparoscopic Surgery on the Theme of “Laparoscopy in a Nutshell”, “Meet the Master” on 23rd & 24th September, 2023. The Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SDM University. Padmashree and Dr. B. C. Roy Awardee, Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospital, Coimbatore and Dr. C J Varghese, President of AMASI & GEM Hospital, Thrissur gave the special lectures. 

There were more than 250 Doctors and Medical Students participated in the workshop. Dr. Rathnamala M. Desai, Principal, Medical College, Dr. C K Patil, President ASI Hubli-Dharwad and others were present during the Function. 

Dr. C Palanivelu and Dr. Varghese were felicitated during the Workshop considering their contribution to the Laparoscopic Surgery. Live Surgeries was conducted during the workshop. 

Dr. B Srinivas Pai welcomed the Guests. Dr. Harsha Kodliwadmath proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr. Meghadarshini invoked the almighty blessings. Dr. Ishwar Hosamani, Principal, KIMS, Hubli introduced the Dr. C Palanivelu. Dr. Harshita compered the program.
