An eight-month-old female infant from Hubli has been successfully treated for an abdominal tumor at the SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital. Diagnosed with abdominal neuroblastoma, the tumor’s size was significantly reduced through a course of chemotherapy conducted under the expert guidance of pediatric surgeon Dr. Prashant K Zulpi.
Following this treatment, a complete surgical excision of the tumor was carried out by a highly skilled team of pediatric surgeons, led by senior surgeon Dr. Anil Halageri.
This case marks the youngest patient to receive tumor treatment at SDMCMSH. Remarkably, the infant is now completely free of the tumor and is in the recovery phase.
