The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) under SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad is established with an intenstion to promote, and provide platform to conduct  Biomedical and clinical research, addressing the range of health issues prevelent both locally and globally.

CRL encourages academicians, scientists, medical professionals and students to work together on basic and translational research project initiatives, showcasing a multidisciplinary and cooperative approach to tackling today's healthcare challenges.

Team in CRL specifically focuses on understanding molecular pathophysiology of various non communicable diseases to explore, develop, assess, validate novel therapeutic interventions.

Advanced techniques in cell and molecular biology, cell engineering, invitro disease modelling and stem cell biology are being employed to achieve goals.
