About the Department & Specialty:

Established : 2003

The department of Medicine was established in 2003. The department consists of five units and offers advanced care in Internal Medicine & critical care. The department has experienced senior faculty with 2-3 decades of teaching and young dynamic Associate professors and Professors .Many of the faculty have received BLS, ACLS and ventilator courses. On an average they recorded around 25% rise in patient care statistics. The department has speciality services like Nephrology, Pulmonology, Cardiology , Geriatrics , Endocrinology, Rheumatology. Both UG and PG teaching schedules by the department are well structured and research oriented and fully complying with NMC guidelines.

Inpatient Services 
General ward admissions
Patients with general ailments involving Respiratory, Cardiac, Metabolic, Infective conditions and who are otherwise stable, are treated in these wards.
Intensive Care Unit
Patients who are critically ill and require round the clock monitoring of vitals, are treated in ICU.

High Dependency Unit
Patients who are not stable but not requiring ICU stay , are treated in these wards.
Emergency
Patients coming to hospital who appear to be sick and unstable and require immediate evaluation and resuscitation are seen in the emergency department, once stabilised they are shifted to concerned wards.

    ii) Procedure – ECG, GRBS and other investigations that can be done on an outpatient basis
    iii) Other – Ryle’s tube , catheter replacement etc
