Rural Health Training Centre
Rural Health Training Centre, Yadwad, dharwad. Department manages a rural health training centre at Yadwad situated approximately 20km from the college and serving a population of 30,000.
Following services are provided at this centre
- 6 bedded, Working hours 24 × 7
- Treatment of all common ailments for free of cost
- Minor surgical procedures for free of cost
- Routine laboratory facilities for free of cost
- Referral services
- Training the house surgeons to function as primary health care physicians
- Antenatal and school health services
- Immunization services
- Health education sessions on a health related topic
- Specialist visit from the SDM hospital on designated days to rural centre
- Implementation of national health programmes i.e Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme, Reproductive and Child Health, National Vector Born Disease Control Programme etc
Urban Health Training Centre
Urban Health Training Centre, Vidyagiri, dharwad. Department manages an urban health training centre at Vidyagiri situated approximately 5 km from the college and serving a population of 60,000. It covers ward 20 and 21 of HDMC.
Following services are provided at this centre.
- Daily OPD from 8:30 am to 5:00 PM.
- Treatment of all common ailments for free of cost
- Minor surgical procedures for free of cost
- Routine laboratory facilities for free of cost
- Referral services
- Training the house surgeons to function as primary health care physicians
- Antenatal and school health services
- Immunization services
- Health education sessions on a health related topic
